hey all , i wanted to share my best buck ever with yall. i was on power lines tuesday morning and right at sunrise i saw a doe put her head out and look around. i got ready for the chance and when she stepped out i decided to wait a bit to see if any body else was home. just a few seconds later i see big horns in the grass beyond her and i quickly adjust my aim. thankfully he stopped in the clearing and i squeezed the round off. it was a loooong shot for me but i was sitting in my hunting chair and using shooting sticks and i was rock solid on him. he jumped straight up and spun his wheels in the air several times before heading to the trees. i was pretty sure i heard him pile up but i sat down to wait just to be sure. he made it about 50 yards but the little bullet did its job well. both lungs were destroyed . he was a 9 pointer with a 1" kicker on his right side so i am calling him a 10 !! he dressed at 169 lbs with a live weight of 215 . my biggest ever and a monster for ucla - upper corner of lower alabama . i practiced longer shots this summer and it paid off, my shot was 345 paces and i had to shoot over the does back. i was blessed that morning. i am not very computer savvy but i posted the pic in the member gallery . the buck had a bigger belly than me and that is saying something!!
