Leupold 2x7 regular vx1 or shotgun vx1?
« on: December 07, 2005, 10:58:03 AM »
Which is the best route to go on the Leupold VX1 2x7-33 scope - the shotgun model with the heavy duplex reticle or the regular 2x7-33 rifle scope with regular duplex reticle?  Secondly - where is the best place price-wise to get this scope?  Thanks!

I use the Leupold VX1 2x7-33 shotgun model scopes on my shotguns and muzzleloaders. Just my personal preference. Check out the site sponsors here for the best prices, on the top of the board.  :D

You should look at the specs for the scope at Leupold's website. I'm pretty sure the shotgun VX-1 has a shorter parallax setting, probably something like 60 yds, as opposed to 100yds, to accomodate the ranges you'll most likely be shooting at....
