upgrade rings on Tikka T3
« on: December 08, 2005, 05:27:37 PM »
Can someone tell me what  type of rings they have upgraded to on their T3 tikkas?  Most of my hunts involve a rough as H### ATV ride in a scabar.  I would like to put a very strong steel ring set-up.  Love the gun and need a little better feeling of security with the mounting system.  Thanks  Buckfever

Buckfever,

Take a look at Warne.  I have several Warne rings on many of my rifles, including Tikkas, and they have held up very well.

However, the Warne Steel rings are very heavy and thus counter productive to the purpose behind the T3, which is a lighter rifle.  As such, you could also take a look at the new Talley alluminum scope mounts for the Tikkas.
