Selling ruger's to get one FA

I have several ruger handguns that I am thinking of selling to obtain one FA 475 or 454. I can't decide on which guns to sell.
  I have a  redhawk 5.5 inch brl SS 45 colt and a accusport bisley SS in 45 colt  also a p-345 SS and the last ruger is a super blackhawk 4 5/8 inch brl.SS
  I can not decide, if you have any opinions good or bad let me know. I know it is hard for someone else to decide something like this. Everybody has there own hunting style, likes and dislikes ect.
  I am keeping my sp101 3 inch brl 357 and my XD 40 SW.

Depending on how much money you have, you may have to sell the  redhawk 5.5 inch brl SS 45 colt, accusport bisley SS in 45 colt,  p-345 SS and the ruger super blackhawk 4 5/8 inch brl.SS just to get the FA.  :shock:

i did just that.  it cost me two rugers and a little cash to boot.  

but... if you are holding out for a 475 you are going to have to give a tad more than i did.    i found a f.a. in 44.   it out shoots the rugers i had,  is more enjoyable to shoot because the grip is better,  and hasnt let me down (which is WAY more than i can say about the rugers).

I'll keep an eye out for a used 454 FA feild grade in the brl length that I like, and keep the redhawk and the super blackhawk, sell the rest. If I add some cash, ok a lot of cash I should find the shooter I want.

if i see a deal online, i will send a p.m. your way.  you should be able to find a nice 454 for under $1000.

Personally, I'd keep the Acusport Bisley just becasue they're not comon and just about the nicest handling SA I've ever held.  got 5 of those little buggers.  I'd sell of the p345 just becasue I'm not big on Ruger autos.  I'd proberly sell off the Redhawk also.  If you went with a 454, having that DA  in 45 Colt would be real redundant and proberly see little use.   However, I would definately keep the Bisley even though it would be the easiest to sell.

  With my heavy handloads the bisley is uncomfortable for me, it rolls back to far in my hand, but the redhawk is much better, with the recoil coming almost strait back.
   I know this is weird but that's how it is for me. It could also be that the redhawk is heavier and that helps reduce the recoil. I also prefer the interchangeable sights on the redhawk. I even like shooting the super blackhawk better than the bisley.

  I know what you mean but I have shot an FA a few times before and it was quite nice to my hand. It could be the low hammer spur that gets me on the top of my thumb, as it rolls with the recoil.

OK I get your point. I'll go so far as to say I sold off my Accusport Ruger Bisley because it did not fit the hand to a "T" and meanwhile just love the FA grip shape.

However when you started contrasting the DA "straight back" recoil to the SA "roll" you can probably see why I was prompted to caution you on the FA
