had one, bought it new and loved it, the only reason i sold it to a friend of mine was i bought a new mz and couldn't have two. the #11 caps gave me no problems but the clean up was a pain if you have a scope, beautiful wood and it fit me really well. mine was rated for ( i believe 110 grains powder ) not sure ?. I use 90 grain
pyrodux and 245 gr powerbelts h/p with really good results.  took a few deer with it.

P.S. I sold it and bought a cheaper newer in-line and a lot of times i wish i had it back.

I had a  SS TC FireHawk in .54 cal. it is a great gun. I killed seven deer with it before selling it to buy the Encore.  They have a 1:38 twist.  Mine liked 90 gr. pyrodex P and 260 gr. Knight sabots. Only thing I didn't like was the cleanup took awhile.  The breechplug doesn't come out and you have to cover the underside of the scope due to blowback fouling.

I bought mine for $280 when they first came out, so if this one is stainless you are getting a good deal on it.

Great gun I have the thunderhawk in 54 cal. would never sell this m/l paid $139.00 on closeout a couple of years back.I use RWS 1075+ plus caps @ never had a misfire. The firehawk is the same gun as the thunderhawk except for the saftey set-up ,mine has the walnut stock and shoots great.I can tell you some say it was t/c best inlines the thunderhawk and firehawk.I tested it with conicals ,the gun won't shoot a conical to save it life, but when it comes to bullet/sabot loads it shoots outstanding :D

Lonewolf,
Did you ever try any 425 Buffalo bullets or Great Plains bullets in your thunderhawk?  My FireHawk would shoot them good too, and took a couple of deer with them.  My best muzzleloader buck, a 9 pt. was taken with the FireHawk and Buffalo bullet. I settled for the Knight sabots for final load before the Encore came out and I just had to have one!!!

Toy: seem my best bullet in my thunderhawk are the following
Hornady 240 grain mag:
Precision QT'S 45 in 350 grain
Precision silver lighting in 300 grain(these drop deer in there tracks)
Buffalo sst 375 grain boattails
All above are 45 cal. bullets drop into a red harvester sabot.
I have also shot from hunterman swag mag: tips in 300 grainers flat point
Hey cast an excellent bullet.
 :D
