Winchester 100 .308 mags.......
« on: December 03, 2005, 02:51:14 AM »
Bought Winchester 100 in .308 in really fine condition.  Called the hot line to Winchester Company and discovered the rework of the firing pin and bolt release pin had not been changed.  After much search found the parts needed and did the fix.  However...having a rough time finding reasonable priced magazines or replacements or even modified types.
Anyone have any methods or ways to modify other mags to fit....????

Check with Brownells. They have Model 88 and I believe Model 100 mags.

Check your local Gun Shows out as well. I had a Win 100 and needed a spare mag, found one at the GS. Not easy to find but can be done. Good luck.

I haven't seen any which were what I would call reasonable.  Here is another site you can try:  http://www.gun-parts.com/winchesterrifle/

Hoosier Gun Works had one for a Win 100 in 308/243 listed for $48.
