Well i have yet to hear a bad post of a Mueller so thier, but Simmons new Pro-hunter Master series with Mil-dot cost about the same and is i guess pretty dang good. Personally i'd try the Simmons cause thier new features are quite nice.

You mean on the Sport dot!! I have high Burris Signature Zees on the .243 and mediums on the .204, just depends on the position of the power ring and ocular bell. Highs are .420" tall, mediums are .270" tall.

I have the muller 4x16 illum mil dot and I have to say its a real nice scope. I have spent more money on scopes, but I thought I would give this one a try because all the good things I heard about them and the price was right also. I have burris Sig extra high rings on my .223 ultra

Hmmm, are ya sure they aren't just highs, John??? Burris doesn't make Zees or Sig Zees in extra high cept for the 30mm.

You're making a great choice, czbuff, you won't regret it.

John, I just didn't want someone looking for rings that don't exist. 8)

While you're still undecided, I'll throw another option or 2 in the mix....the 8.5-25x44 Tactical Mildot is available only from Mueller. It has no illumination if that's a concern,  used during daylight as opposed to the illuminated reticles that can be used day or night if that's an interest. This scope seems to be fairly popular at RFC....

And then there's always the Eraticator which the 44mm Tactical Mildot is based on...

Jon still has free shipping and sunshade on the Eraticator...
