Hi all, I have seen many posts in regards to finding (or not finding) good paper for patching. One source of paper for patching is Buffalo Arms. The 100% cotton they sell, while expensive, is of excellent quality, and I am currently using it. Contrary to what is posted in their catalog, this paper has a thickness of .0010 and is perfect for my .40-65 RCBS bullet #40-PP.

They list a tremendous number of pound weights of paper and I am going to try some of them.
My main consideration in buying paper is thickness of the paper and not so much in the pound weight. Too much emphasis has been placed on trying to find 9#, 15# or whatever. Mic the paper to see what thickness is it is and mulitply that by 4, then add that number to your bullet dia. to see if it is going to be a good fit in your barrel. Pound weight of the paper can be a starting point, but paper thickness is the key to getting accuracy and a load that doesn't have to be swabbed after every shot.
