To Trim or Not to Trim????
« on: March 09, 2003, 04:35:59 PM »
I just finished resizing my Star Line 44 Mag.  brass that I shoot in a FA revolver. I shoot IHMSA silhouette with it and when I measured the cases the case length  varies .004 inches. I know its a very SMALL amount but do you think it would make a difference in accuracy. Remember the shoot off targets are chickens set at 200 meters. Lot of work trimming 500 cases for .004 inch difference.

If your that concerned with case length why not just separate them out by length and keep them segregated? Keep your lots in batches of .002" length varience and you'll not need to worry about it. If it were me I wouldn't even worry about .004" as long as their still under OAL specs.  KN
