Need a longer barrel
« on: January 09, 2006, 02:46:19 PM »
I'm thinking about getting a longer barrel for either my TCR of my Encore.  Anyone know where I could have one built?  I want a .338 Win Mag barrel 32" long.
Where is old Joe when we really need him?  Alaska Independence    Calling Illegal Immigrants "Undocumented Aliens" is like calling Drug Dealers "Unlicensed Pharmacists"
What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

You might try Fox Ridge, - I've been happy with the one custom barrel I got from them.   I think most places  charge a premium for barrels over 30 inches.   I've never hunted AK but I would want to be at least one step farther away from some of some of your critters when I pulled the trigger too.  (especially with a single shot) :D

Be patient sourdough T/C is coming out with a 28" fluted barrel for the encore for 2006.  Go to midsouth shooters supply website and click on firearms and than encore and check it out.
