Heyya Ya'll,
OLD Cane said: "Are spurs legal in California? I figure PETA would have had them banned by now. I guess there are too many horsemen, some very fine ones too, in CA to let that happen." No No No!!! You have it all wrong. In order to bail out the state of Californias deficiet of 35 billion dollars the Govenor, Gray Davis is pushing for a tax on spurs. Each spur will be taxed seperately as opposed to pairs of spurs, so that if there are any one legged riders out there they cannot avoid paying the tax. (Those democrats think of everything.) Additionally, the Govenors board will establish a sliding scale of spur taxation: the more fancy the spur, the larger the tax, The larger the rowel the larger the tax, and finally an additional tax on each spur strap. Finally for those citizens of california who do desire not to pay the new spur tax, a program will be established. These folks can turn there spurs in to any law enforcement agency in the state, and for there efforts will receive a gold leafed certificate of appreciation from the govenor.
And now for a true consideration that I read in the paper last week. The state is also thinking of effecting a 1/4 cent tax on every disposable diaper sold in california. (I think this is a crappy thing for them to do)
They claim that the landfills (the dump) are finding the diapers to be unfriendly in the enviromental sense. The same article said that along with the diaper tax they were considering a 10 cent per bullet tax on firearms ammunition. I gotta bang outta that one! :x :x
I swear those two things are true! What a bunch of ridiculous idiots!
Now if I could just get the wife to agree to us moving. Arizona, Nevada, Montana, New Mexico, .....yeah, like thats gonna happen.
