Savage 2400 scope rings?
« on: December 19, 2005, 09:48:47 AM »
Hi,

I have a Savage 2400 that I need scope rings for.
In a post a while back, Drillingman stated that these rings were Sako.
Does anyone know where I can find a pair of these rings.
What kind of Sako rings? Model number would be very helpful.
Are they still available through any dealers, Brownells, etc. ?

Any help would be most appreciated.

Red Elk,

I've been thinking about this for a while now.  Sako "did" make a scope ring/base setup for the Savage 2400's along with a few others includeing some of there own guns.   I have one around here someplace, and i wish i could put my hands on it right NOW!!

BUT, it came to me that Weaver "also" made bases to fit those dovetails!  After some research to see if my memory was accurate, i came up with Weaver numbers for the "front" is #65,  For the "rear" it's #67.  They are fairly cheap too!

Then of course you then just use Weaver rings on those bases and your in business!!!
