Anschutz 8002 v 2002 for silhouette
« on: January 10, 2006, 02:45:54 PM »
General question if anyone out there has used the new Anschutz 8002 (believe its the replacement for 2002 model).  Looking through the web sight blurp, the only thing that appears different is the lock time(?).  Would appreciate any information (pro & con).

Thanks. :D

Ok, From what I remimber from an article I read on these there are a couple of key differences.

Firing mech does away with the cocking indicator pin type thing that the 2002's have. I have a LG-100 match rifle and a Anschutz 2025 field target. The difference when even dry firing is amazing. The 2025 has a very noticable "ping" when firing... The new model incorporates a "recoil free" system sim to my match rifle

Dry firing - the new model has a mech that allows you to safely dry fire with out detaching the air cylinder.

Stock options/range of adjustment and etc. Supposed to be superior to the 2002

Hope this helps, keep in mind that I know about as much about air rifles as my dog, I just didn't want to see this sitting here empty!
