reboring and rechambering

Ok guys I know I have too much time on my hands on 3rd shift...
 
I was thinking, what would it be like if I took a .223 and had it rechambered for a 6.5 T/CU? It is basically an Ackley improved... Your wondering why in the name of all that is holy would I want to do it, well I think it would make a great small game to medium deer round out of a rifle because the SD of the 6.5mm is so high, higher than .30 cal rounds or the same size.
 
So, what do you guys think? Would it fly and if so, who would be a good person to have do the work?

It's your money.  If you want it and it can be done, go for it.  It's always neat to have something different.

Wayne York does fine work on NEF/H&R rifles, Mac and I have had a few  done by him, a rechamber/rebore will cost $300 or so, but it's well worth it for the 6 groove cut rifling he does. Just don't be in a hurry, he's back logged about 6 months the last I heard.
