.260 Rem with 100grn Nosler custom ammo for deer/predators

I have a .358 win with a shilen that shoots 3 touching at 200yds.  It is 3 inches high at 100 to be dead on at 200.  Any how I recently sold my 35 whelen to get a gun that is more bench friendly for shooting a bunch at the range.  Since I don't have time to reload I will be using the Nosler custom ammo with 100 grain nosler partitions for hunting with it this year.  The rifle is a custom made mauser with an E.R. Shaw heavy barrell with 1 in 9 twist 24 inches long.  Any problems with the ammo or gun?

I believe a 125 bullet is a better choice all round. I have one .260 carbine that thinks they are the best thing since bread. My longer barreled rifle prefers the 129 Hornady, which I believe is also available factory loaded.

I really like the 6.5's but don't see them as preditor rifles. I think realisticly you pass over that at 25 cal. You can of course shoot graydiggers with a 458 win mag but unless you just like the extra recoil, what's the point? In my 6.5's, two, I also like the 129gr Hornady and the 140gr Hornady. They will both kill a coyote very dead.

Other than the price of the ammo to be used as varmint ammo...no.....it should work just fine...The partition will open at long ranges...and should hold together nicely for deer..When you have the time...try working up with some true varmint bullets in the same weight...see how close to POI they hit...if your lucky...you find one that will be close and you'll have both...FWIW....They do make a heavier partition...a 120 grain that will give somewhat better performance on larger game..and lighter bullets available for varmint hunting...so...having 2 seperate loads might be the best for your rifle...
