I just ordered my first Handi-rifle, the wood stock version in 7mm-08, after browsing this board for a few weeks. I gleaned a ton of information from folks here but have a couple questions specific to my purchase:
I'll be putting a Nikon Pro Staff 2-7x32 scope on it, using Burris Zee rings. Can I use the low rings or do I have to go to the medium?
I'll reload for it and plan to buy 100 bulk brass and factory style component bullets (probably Remington) for break-in and to have fire-formed brass. The plan is to then work up a moderate hunting load (whitetails at short to medium range) with either 140 gr Nosler Accubonds or 139 gr Honady Interbonds. I'm thinking of starting with RL-15 but have other suitable powders on hand. Anyone have any experience with either bullet in this cartridge for the Handi? Favorite loads or helpful hints?
