Our beaver are already fightin'

Yep caught one today with a couple bite marks :roll:  Talked to a buddy of mine and he has to. Our beaver do get prime a little earlier than others but I dont think Ive seen them have bite marks this early befor :?  Do you think it may have anything to do with our unseasonably warm weather were having right now??? :?

Beaver fight and bite at anytime.You may have caught a traveling beaver,that had just happened into another beavers territory.
 They are very territorial----the main reason castor lure works so well.

Are the bites fresh or old or both?  
Are you drounding your beaver?
In my experience if the beavers are  'out of the way' after being trapped then they are subject to other beavers biting them..
