No offense, but why would anyone want them?

I can't see them as being any less worthless than the old 210's.

Well I most certainly do take offense.I worked for 2 years to get these traps. They are excellent traps for rats and mink. They fit wide muskrat runs perfectly, they also provide a larger kill area for bottom edge sets.
2 of my adc customers have purchased them for rats and mink, and they will do double duty on woodchucks.
Many ,many rat trappers are using 160s and cussing having to screw around with that second spring.
I knew what I was doing, when I had these produced,If I had had these traps 4 weeks ago,I would be out of them now.
No offense foxtail   lol---but I do for the most part ,know what I am doing.

if anyone has any doubt about the usefullness of these traps just try them and u will see that they are golden, especially under the ice.  i cut the extra spring off a bunch of my 160s and even some 220s.  i use these routinely for mink and rats and have no complaints. i used to use 110s but when i switched to the bigger traps i caught more and bigger rats not to mention mink and yes the females too!  the only difference is that wether wet or dry sey i jump-start the trigger; if you dont know what that is it means to set the trap w trigger already half fired w play in the trigger and i always set the trigger on bottom w wires spread for dry set.  to catch the females simply pinch a tuft of grass on ground either side of trigger they will try to jump the trigger and fire it w chest or hips; the mink is not nearly as agile in the air and the slightest hit fires the jumpstarted trap.  these are also quite an asset in bottom edge sets.  hope duke puts these into production Bog- please post if they ever decide to do the same w 220s

Poncho, they will probably put the 160 in production if I sell these traps in short order. My problem is,they got to me just as my convention season was ending.
I guess I will have to put them in my Trapper and Predator caller ad.They should fly then.
As far as a single spring 220 goes,I have my doubts--as I said before ,it took me 2 years to get these. And I was pushing it.

Can't tell you how many times I wish I had a single spring 160 in the past, but didn't want to sacrifice a perfectly good double spring that I use on coon trails. Now I'll some 160 SS water line traps!!

I don't personally have a use for them, I don't do much water trapping but would love to have any extra 160 springs that are just laying around.

Thanks Tom I was referring to Poncho97 cutting the springs off. What I am looking for is stronger springs for my 120's to use them for dryland coon trapping with buckets. Since we are limited to a 5" spread on land here in Missouri.

Nice BE mink traps indeed! 15.75" additional surface area in the trap opening vs a 110. Gotta love that. Almost like they were made for underwater minking. A 110 gets glogged up after a few days, but these traps still have a nice inviting opening. I've had my sample order set for 2 checks and allready see that I need a few more.

:-D These are NICE! I will set them for rats and mink as soon as I can break away from this work. Alway liked 160's  as an all around trap for rats , mink and coon, but couldn't bring myself to pull off that extra spring for just the convinence in the underwater sets.  Hope Duke continues making them.

Well I finally was able to get out. Tom, these Duke single sping 160's are muskrat machines! Just got done using my intial order of six of these the past couple of days for rats while beaver trapping and they were great! I really wished I had more of them to use.  Also the 160 stabilizers worked very well.  Will get more as soon as I can afford them. I may give up using  those 110's altogether.
