Make mine my stainless NEF .223. I tried a .308 one year thinking that bigger was better, but I must not have been using the right bullets, because it didn't kill them any better than a .223 did, and it cost more to feed it as well. It's nice to be able to see the hit in the scope as opposed to looking around after the shot, and wondering until you walk up to the hole. They just slump over when those 50 gr. V-maxes hit them.
