griz theres no need to duck for cover. Ive had a couple trappers and actually like them more then a 94 marlin. I guess its cause they just look like a lever is suppose to look. the ones i had were shooters too!

Guys, it's not that hard to cut one down. I did it with a W 94 several years ago. I used a pipe cutter to score the barrel and the mag tube to use as a reference mark to keep everything square. when I was done I refinished mine with Birchwood Casey's Plum Brown to give it an old look.

I just picked up a 1894P  for My dad and I for Christmas.. It was Brand New In the box ...  A local dealer made me a deal on it .. Until I got on here and started checking. I didn't know, they were no longer in production ...  I love the way it handles ..

The one thing I noticed about it after about 8 rounds   the collar with the sling swivel stud in it , where it attachs to the forend. The screws won't stay tight. and the one seems to be stripped..     Is there a fix for this??
