Christmas toys
« on: January 01, 2006, 01:46:23 PM »
was wondering what new toys anyone got for Christmas and cant wait to try them out. I myself got a T/C scout that was my uncles and my cousin gave it to me. I am looking for a take down tool for it with not much luck. It is no biggie a screw driver allen wrench and a regular wrench will take it apart. I also received a H&R handi rifle in 270. and a pop up outhouse blind. All stuff I am really looking forward to using and having some fun with.

No hunting toys for me...i just received some gift cards to Dick's Sporting Goods and Gander Mtn...I used the Gander one to pick up blaze camo bibs and a jacket for next season...They were 50% off and they didn't have many left so I snagged them up...I had 2 $10 off your $5 purchase coupons too so I used both of them and the entire purchase only ran me $60.  Good deal...

Yeah, I received a bunch of gift cards but I can't make up my mind ofr anything.

Let's see..a rangefinder?   a new scope?  A couple of tree stands?  A deer cart?  ML supplies?  A Handi-rifle in 204 Ruger?
I'm just lost right about now!

I could always just buy some more rock climbing gear.

I got an RCBS power case trimmer from the lady Santa of the house!

The hole where the motor handle attaches wasn't threaded correctly, so I had to send it back!  I should have a new one here in a few days!

Can't wait to use it!

I learned a long time ago never ask women for guns or hunting accessories for CHRISTmas. They don't have a clue what your asking for. Just do what I do pretend everyday is CHRISTmas and I just get it when you need it.

What I did get was stuff for my new truck. Vent Visors and a remote start and a few misc items I haven't picked up yet.

Was a pretty good CHRISTmas

I've found that circling things with a highlighter in my catalogs usually works!
So far, I can't complain!

I was just looking through the new Midway USA flyer for Jan 2006. I found a few thing in there I believe I need.

Well as I look around the Christmas tree is still up and the house is still decorated must still be the season for giving. I think I'll give myself a little present. :-D  :-D  :-D

Maybe you can take a bridge over the Erie Canal into Niagara County and give little ole me a present too...A nice S&W 460 would be nice...

The wife and I didn't exchange gifts...our giving and loving was toward our children and grandchildren.
We visited with our grandson's wife at Camp Lejeune housing over Christmas, since our special-ops grandson is right now, in the Sunni Triangle !
The relationship between her and us is truly grandparents/grandchild, since her original family was not all "sweetness and light"..

BUT!! Two days after Christmas...I ordered from Wally World an NEF Handi Rifle, .223 with 22" bull barrel.
It should arrive any day now !

Actually, my wife has never quibbled when I buy another gun...and I try to remain smart enough not to abuse the privilege...LOL

I already have a Savage #11G in .223...but you know how we single-shot addicts are !...LOL
If you don't want the truth, don't ask me.  If you want something sugar coated...go eat a donut !  (anon)
