I have a 26 inch 280 Ack Imp heavy sporter from Van Horn and it is super accurate as are all of his barrels I have. It'll encroach on the 7mm Mag without the felt recoil or powder comsumption. To each his own, I really like my 280 AI, if the shooter does their job it'll kill just like any other high powered rifle cartridge. I believe it is about 50 to 150 fps faster than the 280 Rem(great cartridge) depending on the barrel, how it was chambered etc. etc. I like the looks and performance of the Ackley Imp rounds and like to reload so case forming is not a problem. Mine works best with the 150 gr. bullets.
