Looking to buy .270 stainless handi. what kind of out of the box accuracy should I expect. Thanks bernie.

well one hole of corse!!!

all kidding aside if your shooting handloads of a good factory load (like fusion ) i would bet one around 1 inch . maybe a little better maybe a little worse.

The .270s seem to be very good shooters. I don't have a .270 but I do have a .223 and a .243 handi that shoot sub moa. They both shot Moa out of the box, but there are a couple of things one can do if one wants to make groups tighter Just read the stickys. Good luck and stop by more often.

hey pard
you might want to do some looking at the posts on here abt having to tweak your handi to get it to shoot before you go out and buy something
i have owned several handis in various calibers
i had a 270 that wouldnt group no matter what i did to it
i also had a 243 that wouldnt shoot either
the two that i have found to shoot real good straight out of the box were the 45-70 and the 308
i did put an o-ring on the forearm stud to "freefloat" the barrel
the 308 is a survivor and will shoot nice little groups at 200 yards all day long the 45-70 is a buff classic and it to will ring steel at 200 yards off hand and shoots into one hole at 50 yards benched
now im not putting down handi rifles cause i love mine
there just seems to be some that shoot and some that dont
this is of course my experience with em and your milage may vary

i'm only going to say this one thing then stop . but yes there has been a few guys that have had probs with their handis BUT there has been a few hundred that have had them shoot great.[/b]

I've got 2 .270s that shoot excellent with the Fusion ammo, an Ultracomp and a standard 22", I wouldn't hesitate to get the ss model. I have an ss in .30-06, but haven't shot it yet....
