Might I suggest that the 'grinch' avatar makes you seem 'snotty' and 'arrogant' no matter what you post!

lol a coffe shop full of people that overheard a conversation does not document the fact that this man found the skull of an unknown primate or the ensuing conspiracy with the US govt.

You know NONYA, you have proven to me and million of other readers out here that you just dont read well. For instance, and this goes for you also Dusty Miller, If you both would re-read the comment I made about the coffee shop crowd, you would both see that the farmer brought the skull INTO the coffee shop. THE CROWD did see the skull. So thats why I said it was proven, it was seen, not OVERHEARD A CONVERSATION. Again I must say one more time-----it was seen, by the crowd.

Thank you, and have a nice day.

Nonya, what do you say to someone who has actually seen a Bigfoot - besides automatically stating that you don't believe them?

I am not a "believer", so to speak, but I have seen a creature matching the description on two occasions - one from a very close proximity.  As I've stated before on this forum, I am perfectly willing to accept that it was a hoaxter.  I only need proof, and a credible explanation of the hoaxter's height - approximately 8-9 feet (I measured the tree it stood by, after the sighting). Tall hoaxter, and tall monkey suit, if so.

Just curious as to what your thoughts are.  Opinions on things like this shouldn't be solely matters of belief.  They should derive from one's own experience.

Its funny how those who believe in a mystical humanlike animal that has never been captured can poke fun at those who dont believe and whine about skeptics but when a non believer joins the discusion suddenly its a big deal,if you are so secure in your belief my non belief shouldnt cause you any insecurity, i enjoy your storys and arguments, they are very entertaining, cant I add my 2 cents without u getting your panties in a bunch?

NONYA, we just dont like being called liar. Like Graybeard told you once already, add to the conversation, or leave. You can disaprove, just dont call us a liar, or make little snide remarks about us. We would welcome questions, but we dont like snide remarks. Pour yourself a cup of coffe, and pull up your chair or heck, I`ll buy you one. Now relax, and enjoy the conversation of bigfoot. And if you listen and ask nice questions ---you well learn. You can evern PM me and I`ll answer all that I know. When we run out of coffee, I got some nice cold tea for ya.

Now thats the way we do it down here in Okla. Ain`t that better?

BulletMaker, you and I shared our experiences before, some time ago.

As for the existence of these things, frankly I would prefer that they NOT exist.  For me, it's strictly a practical matter.  I didn't want to see one, didn't ask to see one, had no interest in ever learning about them.  Now that I have seen one and must acknowledge their existence, the thought of encountering one again scares the crap out of me.  The things I saw were seriously frightening.

Now, whenever I'm in the woods in the evening, or at night, I cannot help but think that one might be near.  Whenever I take my wife or kids camping, I confess that there are areas I will not take them, for fear that they might see one of these things and forever blow their enjoyment of the woods.  It's like living in Grizzly country - it's a consideration that can turn into real worry if left unchecked.

I envy "skeptics" like Nonya.  I wish I had the luxury of being as unaware as he.

Hi SoloKane :D

Yes I remember your story now. And yes I agree with everything you said. It is very scary, and once you have an encounter like you and me, it does make one look over his shoulder, while deer hunting, especially heading for the woods before sunrise, and staying after sundown. The last 3 evenings, I have been doing some predator hunting, using my new predation 3 caller and so far have killed 3 nice bobcats. Now the area that I`ve been hunting is an area, that I have reported on this site, about the bigfoot sightings. Like tonight, I came out of the woods, and it was 20:00hrs, totally dark. To make matters worse, I did hear a couple of tree knockings. At one point I heard a grunt, but I`m pretty sure it was a buck. Still I was looking over my shoulder alot till I got to the road.
I understand about the not wanting your wife and kids, see one (bigfoot) that is. There is things that go bump in the night afterall, and you and I know what they are.

I think NONYA has added to this thread. A little controversy in thought of those that are nonbelievers makes for interesting conversation. I believe NONYA is just asking "WHERE'S THE BEEF" 8) . As for me I'll just ride the fence. Some real good stories. I'm enjoying this one and keep coming back for a few more goose bumps.

     Hi powderman :D

In Teddy Roosevelt autobiograh, one of his books of his expolits, is entitled (WILDERNESS HUNTER). He tells a story, that (I think was related to him by his trusted Indian guide), that was a very close and personal friend of his. Other people say that it was a first person account from the man that it happened to that told the story to Mr Roosevelt. the classic bigfoot story was entitled (TEDDY ROOSEVELT, BAUMAN STORY 1892)

Here`s the link to the incredible true story:

This is the story that was relayed on the History Channel.

There is by the way, a second passage in The Wilderness Hunter where Teddy Roosevelt may quite possibly have been describing a personal Bigfoot experience. He writes about how he and a friend were on a hunting trip in the State of Washington. They had contracted a Native American to guide them into a remote region. Their guide urged them to avoid a particular area due to some native "superstition" that hunter-tracker Roosevelt held as utterly preposterous.
In any event, old roughrider Roosevelt, as was his way sometimes, bullied the apprehensive guide into taking them to this area anyway. They did not find any big game during that trek or other sign but Roosevelt made a point of mentioning the very strange noises he heard at night while camping there. He did not recognize nor describe the noises, but he did give the distinct impression that they were unusual in his learned experience and found them to be unsettling. Uncharacteristically, Roosevelt did not offer any explanation or speculation about the source of the noises, simply mentioned them, and said no more about it. Odd for an author who otherwise went into such vivid detail relative to the animals he observed and hunted.

Nonya, I don't think you caught my point.  I have no beliefs to defend, just a first-hand experience.

So, could you please answer my question now?

I suppose you could say that I'm challenging your "belief", since you cannot have evidence that they don't exist (a logical impossibility), by my simple testimony of an experience.  Whether or not you "believe" me, you are still stuck in the realm of "belief".

Therefore, since you reason strictly from a position of "belief", perhaps you should treat other's equally probable "beliefs" with more seriousness and respect.

Just a thought you might consider.

I suggest you guys leave Nonya alone UNLESS you want me to turn him loose. I've asked him to cool it. If you ask for it I will turn him loose tho. In which case don't go asking me to put him back on a leash again if you ask to have him taken off it. At that point he will be bound only by the normal site rules not the special rules applied to this forum.

Graybeard and BulletMaker, I missed the point that Nonya had been leashed.  I apologize for throwing out that challenge.  The nice thing about this board is the range of info and good conversations available here - and the absence of flame wars.

I get the message.
