Anyone else out there got a NEF 22-250???

I was just wonderin if anyone has a NEF 22-250. If so got any tips on what reloads and scope combinations make a great varminter? Right now I have a Simmons 44 mag target scope on it. I am a big fan of the synthetic stocks due to the unpredictable weather and terrain where i do most of my hunting. Just wondering what you guys think.

Welcome nm22250,

Just got back in from chasing coyotes with my SS 22-250. On the way I stopped by the Gun Club to check my zero and put two into 1/2".

I load 32gr of Varget over a 55gr. Vmax. Not the fastest @ 3300fps +/- but accurate and consistent. I was just going to a search for anyone using something a little hotter. Hodgden calls for 36.5 as max so there's lots of headroom.

I just switched out a 6X24 Tasco for a 4X14 Burris. The Tasco shot fine and the price was right, but I found myself using the lower ranges most of the time. Love the Burris, first "high end" scope for me
