Honest people have nothing to fear from domestic surveillance In response to a Dec. 28 letter, I also am glad we have a president who is willing to act and monitor suspected terrorists in these perilous times.
Our president takes his duties seriously he is willing to do the right thing, at the right time. Intelligence work is very time-sensitive. This administration realizes that and has my complete support to aggressively track anyone it suspects of wanting to harm this country and its citizens.
I have no problem being monitored. It's because I'm not a terrorist and I'm not involved in terrorist activities. If monitoring would reassure my government of this fact monitor away, please.
These are dangerous times what if you were to find out that information gained from such monitoring saved the life of someone you knew? Does anyone believe that other administrations have not monitored U.S. citizens, for much less important reasons?
I'm also a responsible gun owner, and the government is welcome to know about my legally owned firearms. I take my Second Amendment rights seriously, as all sportsmen and collectors should. Why should honest people be concerned about the government knowing how many guns they have?

Anyone who honestly believes that the government will not abuse, or is not already abusing, such an authority to eventually use it to the detriment of the American People at large can only be described as an
idiot.
