« on: December 23, 2005, 12:57:12 AM »
I walked into the gun store today and the guy behind the counter knew i was on a mission..not just looking like before..no no..but on a mission..to spend my christmas bonus..he asked me if he could help ..i said OH YEAH..YES U CAN..i am looking to blow my christmas bonus.....he lit up like a christmas tree and said "we have lots of good ways to blow your bonus here        "  and then proceeded to point out various s&w 44 magnums under the glass..i asked "do you have any rugers left??"..he said yes..but only a couple..as i walked down the counter i saw only 2...a birds head and a 357 50th anniversary flat top...the one i bought today..beautiful..fits my hand like a glove.and all told just barely over 500 bones..now, mind u..in this stste they mandate a 10 day (business days...weekends and holidays dont count) sit-N-spin period..unless u have a ccw..which i dont have (yet)..oh well....IM GETTING DIZZY !!!

I can add Washington State to the list of states I have no intention of moving to with those kinds of laws in place.

i agree with u about the harsh laws in this state..if it weren't for the fact that i was born and raised here...i would never move here either..i have considered relocating to a far more civilized (montana or wyoming perhaps) state. As it is ive seen old neighborhoods i grew up in turn into crack slums that no sane human would walk into. My only concern now about moving is finding work in the kinds of places we would like to live..im a machine operater..my love spends her days dispatching drivers..but not much beyond gas station clerk seems to be available in the small towns we love.

Here in Alaska you can have it in your hands as soon as the paperwork is completed...load it ...place it in a body holster and conseal it because...guess what ...in Alaska you don't need to take a class, be registered by the FBI or have a license to carry concealed...if you aren't a felon...then you are part of the system to keep and bear arms legally!     "America as it was meant to be" Actual trust in the citizens that reside here...the year December-2005

Man, that must suck having to wait to pick it up!  Yesterday, I walked into Sportsman's Warehouse and walked out 40 minutes later with a new 5.5" Stainless Single Six.  It took forty minutes because 35 minutes were spent trying to decide which one to choose!

Gotta love those waiting periods!!!   Lets a guy STEW on his problems for a while, building up the anticipation and giving time to develop a GOOD plan for the crime he is about to commit.        :-)
Just another worthless opinion!!

Picked up my new gun today and i just love it...havent shot it yet..thats gotta wait til fri or sat. Worked the action a half dozen times..small scratches tell me its going to ring the cylinder..otherwise its a beauty. probly going to have a gunsmith adjust the timing to minimize the cylinder drag..but then again maybe not..bought this one as a shooter and plan to use her very well. my advice to ruger is keep on making this gun..without the 50 anniversary engraving..and sell a few million of 'em.
