T/C Touch Hole
« on: January 05, 2006, 08:17:35 AM »
I have read about a different touch hole design for my Hawken FL. I believe the new one is an allen type head , which should provide a more funnel type ignition to the barrel. I think the no. is T/C  7327.

Can anyone recommend where to purchase these bushings? And are they of a better functional design?

Thanks, Dave

They're outstanding...completely redesigned for fastest possible ignition...have them in all my TC Hawken Flintlocks...just call TC customer service...$4.95 for two in a blisterpac

how long does a liner last before you need a new one?

It would depend on the amount of powder & subsequently the gas pressure, but in any case it appears it would be up into the thousands of shots....I have a couple thousand shots on each of two different rifles and the liners still look like new.

To establish a benchmark, I measured the hole in a new TC liner using a drill bit, and it's .075"....figured I could re-check every year or so and see if the hole is getting any larger, etc...

dave, roundball gave you good info.you can also get them from RMCSPORTS, but i would get them from t/c. make sure you place feather, i use grouse one in hole or powder will come out.if you close your frizzen,no problem but i leave mine open for safety reasons in car. i got home one day and had powder on my seat, it came out the liner hole.
