So far we have determine we definitely cannot bring back the view count module. It was what was dragging down the speed so much. There are just way too many threads, forums and posts to allow the counter time to work and not bog down the site. So that feature is sadly history. I'd love to leave it as a selling feature to new advertisers but not at the cost it carries with it.
We'll be adding back a single mod at a time and leaving it alone for 2-3 days or so to evaluate each one's impact before deciding to leave it or remove it. So it's possible we'll hit another snag along the way if one slows us down again. Hopefully tho Matt will be more available to remove it than he has been recently as the big contract is about wound down. Man has he lost his butt on this job. De boy is gonna hafta learn to bid a bit higher in the future.
