Value of heavy barreled chopped down 22 rf?
« on: December 27, 2005, 02:13:50 PM »
My local GS wants $75 for a NEF 22RF, that has been shortened to 16.25 inches.  It looks like an interesting 22, but what is the value of such a thing?

Thanks,

I;d say the stock and frame is worth 75 , Buy the thing and shoot it

you can always send the frame back for a 17 hmr or 22 mag barrel if it does not shoot well and sell the 22 barrel here or e-bay

Is it a 22LR or 22Mag ?

Better yet buy it and sell me the barrel  :-D  :-D  :-D

They don't make a heavy barrel now, but if it's cut down, it may appear to be heavier than it really is.

Hmmm, it seems to me that I better have another look at it.

$75 + 63 for the hmr barrel = $138 for 'two' rifles

Decisions....decisions

Thanks all,
