My Handi-rifle , bull barrel .223..baby, that is ! It is equipped with extractor...
This time I did it the right way..I cleaned the rifle (all internals)with brake cleaner, then scrubbed the chamber and bore with Happich simichrome. Then clean again and apply Break-Free..
I fitted a vintage J. Unertl 4X "hawk" model scope (post and crosshair) that I had on hand, roughly boresighted it at home, then went to the range in my woods as daylight faded.
At 50 yds it was hitting about center and appx 1" below point of aim .
Since the center of scope and center of bore is 1.5" apart, I figured that's a good point to start when I soon go back and go to the 100yd target.
I fired WW 55grFMJ White box, Black Hills 55grFMJ and Wolf 55gr HP with steel cases.
All extractions were clean and smooth.
I like the extractor for reload uses..but for that quick second shot at a fleeing coyote
remains to be seen.
