Blackhawk aftermarket ejector rod housings?
« on: September 26, 2006, 12:34:15 PM »
I got one of those blued steel ejector rod housings for my Blackhawk.  However, ever since putting it on, I've had problems with the screw shaking loose.  I thought I'd fix 'er good by drilling through the screw and pinning it.  That held for some time.  But now the housing fell off, the screw broke!!

Any solutions?  Or do I have to go back to the aluminum housing?

I already tried locktite, the blue stuff in a red container - that didn't work.

some cures are drilling a hole in the housing and barrel and pinning it. Another cheaper and eaiser way would be to contact dave clemments he sells a hardened screw for them. Try that with some non hardening locktite and that might cure it. They usually wont shear unless they lossen so i check mine about every 20 shots or so on the bench.
