I just saw and Erfurt Mauser at the local gun shop. 8MM, made in 1917 that somebody has sort of refinished the stock. It seems very light for a military 8mm gun. I noticed that the barrel didn't have the steps that a regular military barrel usually has. Do you think this could be original or has somebody done some lathe work on it. What is the quality of these actions.
Any info would be appreciated.
