I didn't get any response over on the Optics forum....has anyone here used this Bushnell model 72-0039 or 72-0039c?

I like the features but haven't been able to look through one.  Would like it for 22 or light spring gun.  Just for the backyard, maybe squirrels.

According to Bushnell they are supposed to be warranted for air rifle and .22 rimfire use.  Outside of that can’t help you except to wish you the better luck than I have had with Bushnell products.  I have two brand new scopes sitting at home that are unusable(unable to adjust power setting due to too stiff an adjustment ring - takes two hands to move setting) and Bushnell won’t do anything about them.  Lawdog

I have one of those scopes. It has a LOT of adjustment range, which really helps. The glass isn't as good as most of my scopes, but cost on it was nowhere close, either. I get a bit of a "fish eye" feeling when looking through the scope, but the AO works well and the scoped has stood up to the springers that I've had it on. None of them were what is considered a "magnum" springer, though.

I have used mine on a reasonably powerful springer, it has been working decently for about a year now. My retains its zero even when removed and then put back. In all I'm pretty okay with it.

i just bought one not too long ago and think it's great for my setup.  i'm running a crosman 2240 (that i've heavily modified).  i do somewhat get a "fisheye" feel sometimes, but it's not big deal when i have the AO dialed in.

i've yet to have any problems, the image appears clear even near dusk, and the scope holds zero.  i never really ask for much more than that.
When the whole world is crashing down around me, atleast I'll have my SKS.

Thanks for the first hand.  It looks good enough when I look through it.  The features are right.  The price is right.  I just can't justify the big bucks for something that will probably never leave the backyard.
