I did some searching but couldn't find the thread where some pointed .458 slugs or cartridges were introduced. It was posted in this forum section a ways back..
I'd like to get some for whistlepigs. maybe hollow it out some and reinstall a plastic tip for some longer range and explosive impact.
Presently I'm using 300gr JHP's bored out to about 250gr. But they fly like a lead rock. The thought of a pointed .458 slug intriqued me.
