I have a Savage/Anshultz Mark 12 that I bought years ago. I have never found out much about this rifle except that it was made in Germany for Savage back when Savage was importing Anshultzs. The receiver is not a 54 or a 64. I've heard that the 1451's were built on an action made just for that model. Could the Mark 12 also be built on a 1451 action, or does it also have it's own action? How many actions did Anshultz build?
The Mark 12 wears a target style stock, it has an adjustable trigger, a bull barrel, and is extremely accurate. I have always been pleased with this rifle, but would like to know a little more about this mysterious lil single shot.
