Graybeard  For the last 24  or so hours your site could not be found by my browser.  Were you down or was it my small town isp?

Same here.

Can't browse the forums consistently and it's really slow.

This is the first post I've been able to make in almost a week.

Software has been switched out. Problems should be fixed now I think. Seems so at least. Now we just have to get the mods added back and the banners back up and running.

Matt still has to get the various mods like Spell Check added back and the banners as well. But at least it's back and running right again.

I got that critical error, php thingy yesterday when I got back from San Antonio. At first i thought of a virus but mccaffee said no, then I went to the website by doing a search and I could get to the forums but was not logged on. I logged on and everything is fine now.
could it be that extra second that they figgered we needed that caused it.
That is my story.
Blessings

It is surprising how you can get addicted to this site.  I had trouble for a couple of weeks with the site being slow, timing out etc....sure am glad it is up again.

As to BP meds, some side effects are dizziness and coughing, at nite typically.  I had to make a couple of changes but no longer have the side effects.

Jan. 8 was another bad day. Not sure what Matt found wrong but he seems to have gotten it fixed again. There is something still not right and every few days this problem creeps back again. I hope he can figure out what the heck is going on and fix it for good.

Dunno about the logging back in. AOL users who won't read the instructions and use IE have that problem but others really shouldn't. Now when it's giving you the wrong screen just back up and try again usually works for me. But posting, deleting, editing and such can sure be a pain at times.

We're still trying to figure out what's causing it.

Jan. 10 was another bad day. I kinda lost my cool with Matt about it yesterday. I told him to fix it or shut it down. We're now running only the basic software and the banners, nothing more. We've been successfully using the software since 2002 and the banner program about the same length of time. If it has trouble now I'm gonna hafta look to the server as the problem not our software.

If they refuse to admit it can be the hardware then I guess I have about two options. I can dump the database and start over with no old posts at all or I can shut the site down and go back to spending my time doing other things than this.

GB-

Why not simply change servers if you get to the point where you are sure it's them? I think the data can be transferred.

$$$$$$$$$$$.
I fought a spider-bot, whatever the blazes that is, all day yesterday and til 11 this AM after spend half the night at Texas Childrens with my grandaughter. She is OK, just a bump.
I have no idea why I am saying anything.
Look GB, you and Matt do good. These crazy contraptions are just the playground for some folks that are not much better than sociopaths and immature ones at that. I would like to get my hands on these folks, I promise that it would take them about 2 minutes for them to wish to die and another 20 years wishing they had.
Blessings

PS
That $$$$$ was not meant as I believe it could be taken. I meant it takes a lot of dollars to get a new server and all that goes wit it.
