Hello, I'm new. I've been reading the post for a while and finally decided to register and participate. My current Freedom Arms revolver is a Premier Grade Model 83 in .454 Casull. It has a second cylinder in .45 Colt, impregnated hardwood grip panels, and a 7.5" barrel. I'm looking forward to chatting with you.

Welcome JP;

Glad to have you with us, I also am looking foward to chatting with a fellow FA owner. This is a good forum with a lot  of folks that really enjoy their Model 83's and 97's.
Keep Posting.

Welcome,

My FA is an 83 Premiere 475 Linebaugh, 4 3/4 inch with Express Sights and custom Indian Stag Grips from Raj at Eagle Grips.  It will puts most loads in a single ragged hole at 50 yards.  In my opinion Freedom Arms builds the finest production revolvers in the world and in some cases finer than custom sixguns.

Welcome aboard Jared.

My very first FA was a 83 454 with the 45 cylinder except mine has a 6” barrel. I found it hard to settle for just one though. If it rubs off on you as much as it has on me it will be a short time coming before you own another  :wink:

SJPrince,

Still waiting on a pic of those stags!

Take Care,
Scott

Thank you for joining us, we always want more FA gun owners around.  My FA is a field grade 454 Casull topped off with a Leupold 2x scope and it sports a ported 7.5" barrel.  I load an LBT 340 gr. cast bullet in that puppy that slams home with some authority.  For quite some time I've had lust in my heart for a '97 45 Colt with fixed sights.  However, that '83 454 Casull you've got would do me just fine.
