Hi D MANN
you hit the nail right on the head. Very good observation.
I myself, have nothing of interest to report, its been rather slow on the bigfoot hunt.
However I meet a rather interesting person, last month. He is a preacher, and for extra income he happens to work for a propane company, that fills my propane tank. Well as we were visiting while he filled my tank, we talked about the good turkey hunting, and deer season that we have experienced. As usually, I brought the conversation around to bigfoot, and thinking I would get a good ribbing out of him, instead was quite surprized that he also believed in them. He had a hair raising story that he told me, and I would like to report it as he told me.
This incident happened in the fall of 2001. Their was four of them, including him, that were camping out for the night at Tag hollow near Spavinaw Okla. They had heard of the excellent fishing but had never been their before. Alot of the people that had been their said their was some kind of animal that kept scaring everybody away.Tag hollow has a really neat little creek that runs through it for miles, and is an excellent fishing hole for the people that knows its their. The creek runs deep in the canyon of Tag hollow, for miles. Their is no houses or people for miles and miles, its very remote.
They figured that since their was 4 of them, and all armed, that they would be OK, and not be scared. Well just after dark on the first night of the campout, it started. They were sitting around the fire on the creek , just finishing a nice meal of the fish they had just ate, and enjoying a pot of coffee, as the creek flowed by, with a gorgeous full moon shining down on them. All of a sudden, from across the creek in the dark woods, they heard the tree knocking and a few grunts, howls. They thought at first it was some kids trying to scare them, but they knew their was no way for anybody to get over in that heavy cover with out them not noticing them first.
They didn't get uneasy until the screaming roaring started and then the splashing of them coming across the creek at them. He told me that,---yes they were armed, but they was afraid that if they shot, that it could have been some partyers, and they didn't want to have killed some people by mistake. Well the creatures kepped getting closer, and after some point, they could make out in the full moon light, that these were not people but hugh monkeys. They ran for their lives. They never fired a shot. And didn't go back till the next day to pick up their belongings, that they had left behind, which were torn to shreds.
He said that they still meet in a cafe, in Adair, and have coffee around a table, and it never fails, that the conversation of that spooky night is still brought up .
Now one of the local farmers, that happen to come in the cafe, heard them talking about the story, and he goes out to his truck and returns with a strange skull, that he found in his pasture. A skull (the preacher said), that resembled a cave man skull, with protuding eye browns and hugh molars and incisors for teeth. They all couldn't believe what the old farmer was showing them, when out of the hushed room of onlookers, came a game ranger of the area, that was sitting their having coffee listenign to the story. He confiscated the bucket with the skull of the bigfoot in it, and told them it was states evidence.
They never seen the skull again, and the ranger got promoted to a state senate seat, and never talked about it again. So when we do find evidence, its, best to keep our mouth shut, or someone will try to take it away from us.
