Haven't done either one to a Glock. The lazermax is pricey, but nice. The NP-3 finish is outstanding! Just make sure this is a pistol you want to keep forever. You'll never get back the $1200.00 you have invested in a $500.00 pistol.

The laserMax is excellent, although the new Crimson Trace grip is pretty nice too, and a little cheaper.  For me, the stock finish on my Glocks are tough enough, but I cannot comment on the finish that you are looking at other than what I have read, and they are all great reviews.

The Lasermax may be neat, but I have always heard negatives on how long the replacement recoil spring lasts.
