Fred M--thanks for all the tips and advice you have given.
Safety Sheriff----by the way, on the old forum I stuck up for you 99% of
the time. I posted under Snowbound which was a Navy call sign from HS-11 when at Quanset Point RI.  I was not Big Mortie...ho ho ho....can't we all just get along ????

superh'

nice handle!

hey, with all due respect: if you stuck up for me 99% of the time on the old forum, you were probably over the line!    i know we danced on the line, jumped over it, painted it different colors, and did everything else to it........so you are guilty by association!

thanks for the support

Safety sheriff.
I am in agreement of what you are saying.

I am not posting to get the numbers up, but to contribute my knowledge.

Many asking for advise from members  thinking it to be their god given right to get answers and never say as much as thank you.

Fred,

i first want to say thanks for all your help to those of us who have read your informative discussions, and, thanks for the support posted above.

i also want to say that this is a forum, not a "home group" so i guess we should expect 'some' opposition and some shortage of "thank you"s.   i don't like to see anybody forget to say, "thank you"; but it's human nature i guess.   i have no other answer to give on that account.

i also would ask that you continue to hang around.  i've learned some from you, and think that your modifications and 'science experiments' (that's meant as a compliment though it's also an attempt at some humor) are Very Informative.    we learn from each other is how i see it.   i hope you'll continue to hang in here.   i think this site is a good way for All of us to learn.

take care,

ss'

Ok I won’t  beat around the bush here , this disagreement between Mitchell and  308 thread that disappeared. Did to many of us that saw it, it  looked like .308 was being  attacked. I know Mitchell to be fair you said you did not mean the statement about a “dumb can of worms being opened was not directed at him” Although Mac did tell everyone to calm down . I would of asked Mitchell (if I were a moderator)   If he  may have chosen a  better choice of words or a more tactful  way to state his opinion. No offence intended just being honest.  When it showed .308 was banned no one knew it was only temporary thing.  I agree he broke the rules regarding the private message issue ( I understand that and respect the rules of Grey Beards) The thing is people do care about each other here  and emotions run high when they feel a wrong is done. Its  human nature to become defensive, and some tempers will flare. Two wrongs don’t make a right either and all rules of Grey Beards should be followed.  Fred if .308 did what you said he owes you an apology and I hope he did.  The moderators we have here for the most part I feel do an excellent job. Mac and Quick I know you work hard here and help many here. So do other moderators and other members. You to Fred  :D , If they post often I feel it is to help people.  I may be guilty of posting weak posts myself, like when I posted a picture of my mule deer this year. I asked that when members address one another to ask them selves how they would like to be addressed. I think this would prevent a lot of problems. I came here because of my interest, love of the Handi Rifle and our shooting  heritage. I may be wrong on this and I may have stepped on some toes even though I didn’t mean to (I guess I will have to take my medicine if I have and that’s fine) You can look at all my posts and I have never insulted anyone here. If anyone here feels I have I am sorry. I ask everyone to shake hands and  get back to talking about Handi Rifles  and helping one another. There is also something in the bible about forgiveness.

It is nice not knowing much about the NEF's.  I don't know enough about them to be able to argue with anyone.  It's a lot more fun to learn than argue.

Norseman112 well said . if 308 wants to come back its fine with me, his little war with me needs to stop , i still stand by what i said about the word "dumb" referring to the topic of 30-30ia but that’s besides the point but it dose take two to dance . i've watched many of arguments here and i've been in my fair share of them but like duce said if you can't fight with family who can you fight with. my biggest problem is this post seams to have little to do with me and 308 and lot to do with peoples jealousy of mac, tim , and fred. those three guys put a lot of their time and effort (and they don't get paid) to help out those with less knowledge and experience, now what the heck is wrong with that???? why are 80% of the guys on this thread complaining about it. like i said before biting the hand that feeds you.

if any of you have problems with somebody why don't you just come out and say it ?? if its the fact that people are stealing your thunder then you need to get over your pride.

wow,

I have been immersed in boat forums and real life issues lately.  I have not been able to load any of my 357 max brass yet.  Yesterday I finally bought the primers, so maybe soon.  Thanks Leftoverdj, hope you to the reamer back by now.  It worked like a charm.

I have been checking in and noticed the ".308 got the boot" thread and silly me, I thought someone was culling their gun safe

I hope everyone cools off a little, learns a little something from all of this mess, and returns so we can all continue farting around with our guns and talking about it.

Without much of the input from many on this forum, I would not have done half as much as I have recently with my rifles.  Thanks

To all hands on deck------------If I have ever offended anyone on this forum, I humbly beg forgiveness and it was never meant to be intentional. There are times that many discussions turn in the directions we did not imply.  But--------when I post something about shooting, reloading, bullets, powder, rifles, pistols, gunsmithing, hunting, trapping, fishing, primers, brass, cars, trucks, airplanes And hunting squirrel with a 30-06 and Green box ammo it is not to be disputed........by the way..wifes weight down from 250 to 140...squirrel diet....ho ho ho
