77/17 action

Is it possible to buy just the 77/17 action. Thinking of putting together a sort of bolt together 'custom' rifle, but don't want to have to buy a whole rifle and then rip the stock and barrel off it.

You'd probably be better off trying to find a used rifle to start your project----I doubt if Ruger offers actions only.
