i have the burris and the leupold scout scope,s. i like them both about the same, i realy like them in real life hunting situations. what very little they give up in accuracy, they more than make up for in speed, and the ability to shoot with both eyes open, it really helps with moving targets. i cant imagin a better set up for hunting.
i have always used scopes with higher magnification. that seems to help get tighter groups, (on paper) but helps little, when shots are under 200 yards or so. most of my game shots are well under 100 yards.
my only problem with the scout scopes, is that they seem not to gather as much light in low light conditions, as a conventional low power scope.
this is very important where i hunt as many of our shots occur in twilight.
that aside, if you give the scout scope an honest try, you will like it!
