Info on SCI Contender frame

Does anyone have info on a Contender frame marked SCI VIII 1990 2 of 5. Engraved with elk on one side and some type of African antelope on the other with the words Education and Conservation. Thanks for any help.jim

I think SCI might stand for safari club international, but that's just my best guess.
