metal replacement trigger guards?
« on: January 03, 2006, 07:26:57 AM »
I seem to remember someone posted about a steel or brass replacement trigger guard.  Does anyone remember who makes these?

Thanks!

when you send your receiver and forearm for a new barrel, they will do this for 69.95, at least they used to and was that amount 2 years ago.

The thread by the fella that wanted to sell those was deleted cuz he's not an advertiser here. H&R sells the metal trigger guard and spacer for about $72 plus shipping, can't imagine they'd install it for nothing considering the work required, it's not a quick job for it to be fitted. The trigger guard is part #R02513 for $41.15 and spacer is part #S02576 for $30.90 and those are last years prices, so figure accordingly.

Tim:

They installed mine for me at no charge when I had them put on a new set of stocks for me and an additional barrel.I have them on my 338-06 as well now. While they at it,you could have them do a trigger job for you to,since they will have it apart, they did a fantastic job on it while it was with them. The trigger breaks clean and no creep to speak of right at 2.5lbs now.

I don't think your dumb mitchell,I just don't like plastic parts on a gun,and prefere nice blued(or brassed  ) parts. They look so much better, and add a nice touch to the gun.If you ever get a chance to hold a Buff Classic in your hands, take a look at them.I think you'll understand what I mean then.
