Honest concern ..or just "party spin"....
« on: January 08, 2006, 12:52:38 AM »
We have so many folks concerned about "personal privacy" and worried that investigative agencies may be eavesdropping in on terrorists (via e-mail only)...let's give it a test !

Here is a big, new story that outlines a much greater threat to MORE people than the NDSA ever did:

   <www.suntimes.com/output/news/cst-nws-privacy05.html>

This means that EVERYONE'S phone records are for sale..yours, mine and the congress, military, police etc.

Now that is privacy to be concerned about !

Tthose party hacks on the media should immediately move on to this even greater threat to personal privacy, screaming longer and harder about it than ever about the e-mail/terrorist connection.

Obviously if they don't, they are simply proving that they are not nearly so concerned about "privacy" as they are about "party spin"..

As I see it, if the folks on forums like this that carry boringly on about the NSA keeping e-mail watch on terrorist associates don't  immediately jump upon this much greater threat to privacy ...they prove that they are just taking their marching order from the DNC.

Hey, if the shoe fits, don't rail at me...just sit back and enjoy your Kool-Aid....LOL
If you don't want the truth, don't ask me.  If you want something sugar coated...go eat a donut !  (anon)

There are poeple who see nothing wrong with government spying and other people that oppose it. As I have stated before once the government has the power it will certainly be abused, gauranteed. Government is way to large now so they have to have some way to justify their existence. Government intrusion is becoming more and more common place in our everyday lives all under the guise of the Patriot Act. You can buy it if you want too but I want nothing to do with it. We are playing right into the terrorists hands by demanding more government intrusion in our everyday lives. Government cannot protect us 24-7. That responsibility falls into the hands of the citizens. :?

For those who really care about the country & can think for themselves this really has nothing to do with party politics. Our, or most peoples fixation on party politics helps the Gov & its agencies keep this type thing going. As long as we are at each others throats no one seems to look at the Gov't. I'm a registered republican but dont have any trouble admitting when a republican is up to no good & the same should go with the democrats & likely does to some extent. The media is surely a liberal pawn but if a body has a real desire to find the truth its out there.

The bottom line is these things are ILLEGAL period. Nothing in the constitution suggests that the rights it contains are only valid in times of peace. On the contrary, they are there for times like this, when the people dont feel so secure about the future & arent sure about what tommorow may bring. They oughtta be able to take comfort in the knowledge that they at least have the basic freedom guarenteed in the constitution.
People get too bogged down in tit for tat jabs as to who'd party is the bad party. Well, theyre all bad it seems.
Might be a good idea to do away with parties altogether & let people run on their own merits & not what their party supposedly stands for.

I dont need them looking at my mail, my phone calls, my trash or anything else without abiding by the laws I'm compelled to obey. When its ok for the Gov to disregard the law its too late for the people to do much about it.

Thanks for the heads up Iron Glow.

The government can blatantly break the law, and then turn that around into a Justice Department investigation to find and prosecute whomever revealed that they are breaking the law.

The President of the United states has put himself and his administration above the law.

And you're OK with it and think that it's political spin.

Amazing.

They may talk of a "New Order" in the  world, but what they have in mind is only a revival of the oldest and worst tyranny.   No liberty, no religion, no hope.   It is an unholy alliance of power and pelf to dominate and to enslave the human race.
