How can you tell if your hand loads are too hot or too cool?
As of late I'm getting some stove pipes or the case doesn't get ejected at all out of my XD. Since I've never had this problem before I'm kinda stuck. Right now I'm loading 155gr XTPs or Raineer Flat points on top of Clays Universal in Rem cases with CCI primers. I've checked my head spacing and kept my OAL at about 1.132. Everything seems to be in order. I haven't had these problems when using WSF or Blue Dot. Am I missing something here? I keep my gun clean and in good shape. The recoil spring was replaced this summer so I'm pretty sure its not that.
