No new CWD...

found in specimens collected at mandatory check stations in Oneida area as reported by NY Outdoors.   Perhaps NY nipped it in the bud.

I hope so but I am an eternal skeptic...I think that CWD is something that will be nearly impossible to wipe out.  All we can hope for is some sort of containment and that will be a difficult job.

rebAL, I think you are right about NY (I'll know better on Saturday, when I get a report from DEC).  You might want to check the DEC home page, tho.  Look at the right side column.  Look for the CWD item, inviting public comment.  It appears that CWD was found in West Virginia, and also found in Moose.  Just thought you should know.  Joe
