was wondering if someone could help me :shock: . I need to know the ballistic of the federal 300 grain cast core. my ballistic program does not have any info on this round :cry: . will be shooting them from a raging bull 8.5 in barrel and the holosight is 2.5 inches above the bore. was wondering what the flight would be if i zero at 25 yrds. i would like to thank you in advance :lol: .

If your talk'ng .44 mag    -they come out of my 4 5/8 inch barrel @ 1170 fps on my chrony..

I have found that the B.C. of that 300g WFN bullet is about .220 and just to be on the safe side I looked at a B.C. of .200 at 1250 for a 7.5" barrel.
  Dead on at 75yds gets you +1"@25yds +1.5"@50yds and -3"@100yds
  Dead on at 100 yds gets you +1.8"@25yds +2.9"@50yds +2.3"@75yds
I would bet its safe to say that your load is very close to this one. Your slightly better B.C. and faster velocity from the 8" barrel will not be very  noticable on the range inside 100yds as compared to this one.
 I would sight in +2" @50yds and see what it does everywhere else.
