I am looking at playing with Titegroup for some plinking loads in 44 magnum. I see on Hodgdon's site the max listed data for the 44 with a 240 grain bullet is:

TITEGROUP Grains:10.0 Vel:1292 Pressure:37,700 CUP

Does anyone know the starting load, velocity and pressure?

According to my Hodgdon manual starting load for the 240 grain NOS jhp is 9.0 Titegroup for a velocity of 1219 at 33,500 CUP. Max is what you listed.

Looks like 6.5 grains for a 240gr cast bullet.

I like to use 6.0 gr. in my 329 PD with a 240 for a 850 fps 44 spl. duplication load.

I don't have a 44 maggy, BUT I have a 40 S&W that I load with ONLY Titegroup. It works great, I am very please with this powder.

I don't have much luck with 240's, but for a lighter load have had great luck with 180xtp's or Rem 180jhp's with 11.0 grains of Titegroup. I'm getting 1400 fps with single digit standard deviations. Very accurate from my 7 1/2" Super Blackhawk.
